Researchers in the humanities are increasingly adopting new technologies and engaging with a variety of digital resources and services. The need for stronger interoperability between platforms and access to data by HASS research communities has been identified as a research infrastructure gap for within the 2016 NCRIS roadmap.
The HASS DEVL project aims to increase interoperability across HASS infrastructure platforms, data sets and online tools. through:
- Developing a data curation framework that makes HASS data available for research interrogation.
- Identifying, documenting and publishing data workflows and curation for text analysis, geo-referencing and transcription.
- Exploring better data linkage through the use of named entity recognition and linked data techniques.
